A Review of the Motorola GP340 Radio - Motorola Reviews

As a longtime user of the Motorola GP300, I got used to the quality of the construction and transmission of Motorola radios. To my surprise, Motorola announced a few years ago that they would sell the beloved GP300 and replace it with the GP340.

The first impressions of the GP340 were not great. It would get white noise after the transmission, the device did not feel good and there were a lot of software bugs that had to be fixed.

A few years later, I thought it was time to review the current generation of the GP340 radio.

The sound quality has improved without end, and I no longer bother with a white noise in my ear every time I make a transmission. The quality of the construction remains unchanged, and although it is not as good as the GP300, I have learned to live with it. After all, it seems that most things are not being done the way they used to be today!

I have used the GP340 in a location with an interesting geography. There were many ups and downs, but the radio did not seem to bother. It worked perfectly on a 500 acre site. Battery life is pretty good as I use the radio for 8-10 hours a day, maybe 12 hours a day in the summer. I would charge the device during the night and get a good day of use the next day.

The GP340 radio is an excellent and discreet way to keep the team in touch. Optimizing wireless communication workflows increases productivity and can be part of a company's health and safety system, which is especially important for people working alone or outside the team.

As with all Motorola radios, the GP340 is compatible with a variety of original Motorola accessories, including carrying cases and risers, headphones and earphones, batteries and chargers, all of which adapt the radio to the exact requirements of the user
